"Using the common.garden is a dizzying experience that fits perfectly with the artist’s vision of the internet as a blank medium that can be disrupted for the greater good rather than existing as a place for exploitation and uncertainty." - article in CLOT Magazine ‘NFTs, post-internet art & why the artist buys fake social media followers’ written by Simon Coates

“The artist is not content to simply make entertaining twists on the twisted dynamics of the digital world, but has implemented his own idea of a social network during the 2020 coronavirus lockdown: common.garden. In the ‘garden’, people can consciously meet or meet purely by chance and get into conversation; almost like in a physical space. The artist has built "common.garden" in such a way that videos as well as images can be shown and entire exhibitions can be curated. This is why museums such as the Dresden State Art Collections and the Mystetsky Arsenal Museum in Kiev use the ‘garden’ to make their exhibitions accessible beyond their own premises. He himself has launched the "distant.gallery" project, in which he invites curators from all over the world to realize a project of any kind in a ‘garden’. The promise of global networking is to be fulfilled here, without any data tracking or advertising. The artist tries to give the digital a new form in his projects. His aim is to "use a simple gesture to transform something that is actually being exploited for commercial purposes into something playful, human and, yes, fun".” - words by Laura Wurth from “Wie wehren sich Künstler gegen digitale Überwachung?” article in Frankfurter Allgemeine Quarterly, ausgabe 04/2022
